Exclusive: iQOO 12 will have Snapdragon 8 3G and 144fps gaming, November 7 launch confirmed – GSMArena.com News

iQOO under the vivo brand is rumored to launch the iQOO 12 series on November 7, and we already saw the vanilla model in a leaked image last week.

Today we have some exclusive details about the iQOO 12 that we are very excited to share with you. First, the official launch in China will actually take place on November 7th, with a global release planned for later this year.

This phone will be one of the first phones to come with the newly unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, perhaps unsurprisingly. However, this will be the first gaming-oriented phone to rock the new SoC.

To improve gaming graphics, the iQOO 12 uses a dedicated display processor with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, similar to the technology Apple introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro last month. This is supposed to enable ultra-realistic lighting, reflections and shadows in mobile games for a huge leap in immersion.

iQOO 12 runs popular mobile games like PUBG Mobile, PUBG New State, Genshin Impact and LoL Mobile at 144fps with frame interpolation. By the way, this is not the complete list of supported games – stay tuned for more surprises. This phone pushes past the native frame rate cap set by game developers to deliver a true high frame rate gaming experience.

For the past few years, iQOO has partnered with BMW M Motorsport, and that won’t change with the launch of the iQOO 12. There will also be a special “Legend Edition inspired by BMW M Motorsport”. Expect the usual BMW M stripes on the rear as well as custom themes.

The iQOO 12 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting releases in the next few weeks, so stay tuned as we learn more about it.
