Apple’s updated iMac may be coming sooner than you think Digital trends

The saga surrounding the possibility of an update to Apple’s 24-inch iMac is about to change soon after prominent Apple leaker Mark Gorman suggested the device could land later this month.

This follows a report last week by another Apple expert, Ming-Chi Kuo, who claimed that an updated iMac wouldn’t appear until 2024.

In his weekly Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, Gorman writes about how the iMac hasn’t been updated since Apple released the M1 version in April 2021, more than 900 days ago.

According to his sources, Apple is planning to launch a Mac-based product later this month, he said, adding that this could be a chance to introduce the model. Specifically, Gorman said the most likely date for the announcement would be October 30 or 31. The newsletter did not include potential specifications for the new iMac, although he has previously stated that he expects it to come with Apple’s M3 chip.

The Bloomberg reporter added that Apple is running out of 24-inch iMacs, as well as the 13-inch MacBook Pro and high-end MacBook Pros, suggesting that an update to those laptops will also be announced later this month. If you try to order the products from Apple’s website, several configurations won’t be available until mid-November, he wrote. This delay of several weeks is a clear sign that something is about to happen.

Gorman said he understood that Apple released refreshed MacBook Pros as early as 2023, and described an additional update in the same year as unusual, but not inconceivable.

Discussing the larger, professional version of the iMac, Gorman said he believes Apple is still working on it and will likely come out in late 2024 or the year after with a 32-inch display 5 inches larger than the largest iMac. Date.

As for the new iPads, Bloomberg’s reporter said they’re unlikely to land until next March, so if you’re waiting for one, you better sit tight.

Keep in mind that this is one person’s view, though Gorman has called it right in the past when it comes to Apple news. Find out in a few days whether it got it right again with these iMac predictions.
