Synth Riders supports mixed reality in a new update coming soon, bringing the rhythm game into your living room in Quest 3.
Kluge Interactive shared a short 20-second snippet of mixed reality gameplay on Twitter yesterday, hinting that the update is coming “soon” to Quest headsets.
As you can see in the tweet above, the mixed reality function cuts out a section of your wall to create a portal through which the world of Synth Riders emerges.
Synth Riders will be one of the titles to receive Quest 3-related updates soon, many of which will not only focus on mixed reality, but will also bring visual upgrades.
There’s no specific indication of the timing of the Synth Riders update beyond “soon,” but hopefully it will drop next week in line with Quest 3’s release.
Synth Riders is one of the most up-to-date VR titles with new free and paid content constantly being produced by developers Kluge Interactive. The latest content releases include new free collections of Synthview songs and paid music packs with artists like Gorillaz.
Back in August, Kluge confirmed that the studio was looking into hand-tracking support for the game, and talked to us about their continued development plans as well as work on new titles.
